Morganite is a member of the beryl family of gemstones. The same family that emerald derives from. Some people call it "pink emerald" but "pink beryl" would be more accurate. There is only one emerald and it is green. Peach morganites are usually untreated and pink morganites are usually heat treated to achieve the pink color.
